A bump in the road is not an obstacle

A fine Line

Virtue at times is over-rated.

I would like to use 2 examples to explain why I say this. One is from Mahabharat and which laid the foundation of The Gita. Arjun was in a dilemma of how he can fight his brothers and the natural instinct of being virtuous was clouding his thought process. That's when Lord Krishna's discourse very brilliantly brings out how being virtuous is important but living by it in all circumstances might not be the wisest thing to do. To fight for one's right at times tough calls have to be taken.

Similarly, in the bestseller - Immortals of Meluha the army chief Parvateshwar is in a constant battle to do what he should as the army chief or follow the orders and laws which as a law abiding Meluhan he should do. This constant strife is there because following the law and orders or being virtuous is of prime importance no matter what and when Shiva tries to change that there are conflicts of opinion. 

Can't say which of the two are right but there's a fine line between being smart in using your discretion for the larger good at the cost of being "non -virtuous" and mis-using it for own convenience. I would re-use my favorite line here - the best things in life are grey and not black or white. How the grey is made from the black or white is where the point is.

Have we taken grammar too seriously?

Wiser?

All covered you try again. You fail again.

Well you never know what can screw you.

T - Point

Cruising on the highway of life

A T-point suddenly slows you down

Pausing to think which side to turn

Where fate may smile or frown

Where the decision sways between the heart and the mind

The direction may not be easy to find

To weather on or weather away

To stay put or simply sway

But whichever path you finally tread

Make sure that you don’t regret

The Butterfly Effect

What if I had the power to change one incident in my life, what would it be and would that be significant enough in the scheme of things. To begin with I don’t take the thought seriously and believe that no one incident can be that significant that it could alter the way my life spanned out, but on second thoughts maybe it does.

To begin with what if my father didn’t live in a small town of Uttar Pradesh but in a bigger place where better schooling options were available. I wouldn’t have gone to a boarding school in Dehra Dun and spent the best 12 years of my life. Even if he did and I did go to Welham, what if a number of small things that happened didn’t happen, would that change anything in my life. I don’t know. What if I cleared CAT in the first go, etc. etc. The list can go on and on.

However, the fact is that those things did happen and I’m the way I was meant and supposed to be, sitting here writing this stupid piece and I don’t regret anything one bit. But I would like to leave you with this thought:
